Meet Jessica Narweh
Today we’re sitting down with Jessica Narweh, a money mindset coach who works with small business owners to manage and improve their relationship with money. She is full of financial knowledge and experience, and I feel so lucky that I got the chance to chat with her and share what she has to say on the podcast!
Jessica shares how your mindset can make or break your financial success. Let’s dive into how we, as small business owners, can tailor our mindsets in a way that yields growth!
Shifting Your Mindset
The first step to cultivating a good relationship with money is to shift your mindset to a mindset of abundance, rather than restriction. The abundance mindset is looking at a situation or goal you have and considering what you can do to grow into that goal, rather than thinking about how you have to cut back (financially or in other ways) to achieve it. For example, if you are buying a house and need to put down a down payment of $20,000, instead of thinking restrictively (i.e. just spending less, completely cutting out your morning coffee runs, etc.), think more abundantly about what you can do to reach that goal of $20,000 (i.e. brainstorm other ways of making money, generate more business, etc.).
Yes, she said it! You can manifest money. The first step here is becoming aware of your (perhaps limiting) money mindset. How were you taught to think about money? Did your parents often say “money doesn’t grow on trees,” or do you believe that the only way to make more money is to work longer than harder? If so, you are being limited by your money mindset. Once you become aware of how your thoughts are affecting you, determine a goal and/or aspect you want to change about your mindset. Seek evidence that contradicts your current mindset. For example, if your current mindset leads you to believe that young people can’t make a lot of money, look at Kylie Jenner – she’s a millionaire at just 24.
Additional Ways of Making Money
There’s many ways to generate revenue in your business other than just selling your product or service, so let’s capitalize on that!
For product based businesses, instead of just thinking about how many people you can get in the door to buy your product, think about how you can serve a wider audience and/or broader purpose beyond just selling your product. Try making a digital version of your product! For example, if you are a clothing company, you can create an online fashion guide or quiz that leads customers to an online styling service.
For service based businesses, collaborations are often a great way of generating additional income because it helps you reach a wider audience without expending the resources you would typically have to in order to have such a broad reach.

Hi friends! My name is Sydney, founder of Marathon Marketing & Branding, and I’m so happy you’re here! As you might have guessed, I am an avid runner, which allows me to have more of that pinot and pasta in life. Running long-distance is all about training, endurance, and consistency. I realized that these same traits are directly applicable to social media marketing as well.
